More than 250 Mercy High School alumni signed up for class reunions, alumni and faculty stories, mass, and a reception and dance on August 25 and 26, 2023 at Mercy Conference and Retreat Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  Special thanks to the committee, many volunteers and all that attended. 

A great time was had by all.

The Cornerstone Comes Home

The cap protecting a newly placed time capsule is engraved

with a Mercy Shield, and reads,

"Gifted to the Sisters of Mercy.

Dedicated 2023 by Barbara Lumma,'60."

Thanks to James (Jim) Lumma, '59, his wife Barbara Lumma (Kruse) '60, and their family, the original Mercy High School 600 pound limestone block cornerstone has traveled from Jerseyville, Illinois and been installed ​in the Wisdom Garden

on the Mercy Center Campus.

Jim gave the cornerstone to his wife as a

gift because they met and fell in love at

Mercy High. 

​

We are grateful for their generosity and

wish them God's blessings.
